6 Month Smiles Cost
There are many factors which go into making up the cost of six-month smiles treatment, including diagnostic, treatment planning, the cost of having the braces manufactured, fitting of the braces and finally maintenance appointments. However, because the treatment is relatively straightforwards and follow-up appointments are fewer, these braces are often cheaper than other forms of orthodontics. How does 6 Month Smiles work?
The treatment uses conventional orthodontic principles of applying pressure to teeth in the direction we want them to be moved, tipped all rotated. Because 6 Month Smiles focuses on the front teeth only (which have single roots) it's possible to move teeth quicker than if we were to include the back teeth also (which have multiple roots and are therefore more difficult to move).
The braces themselves use clear brackets and tooth coloured wires which blend in with your surrounding teeth making them almost imperceptible.
It's important to know that back teeth are not moved with this type of brace system. If some of your cosmetic concerns include back teeth then6 Month Smiles may not be the right treatment for you, it's all about informed consent and letting you know all of your options… Which we promise we will do.
What is the treatment procedure?
The entire procedure for these revolutionary braces is quite simple.
- Come in to see us for a consultation, we're happy to see you for a free consultation if required.
- We design your treatment and have your braces made.
- You attend your 'braces on' appointment, it takes about an hour and is comfortable and painless.
- After about one month you will begin to see to the movement.
- Adjustment appointments will now begin monthly, you can expect between 3 and 7 of these.
- 6 months and your 'braces off' appointment can now take place.
